Privacy Policy
RateVault is an offline-enabled currency converter provided by VaultApps. This policy explains what data the app uses, what is stored on your device, and what happens when you use online or external features.

Summary
RateVault does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use analytics, and does not track you across apps or websites. The app does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, calendar, files, or device advertising ID.
Data stored on your device
RateVault stores cached exchange rates, the provider-published rate date, the last fetch time, your selected currency cards and their order, your theme preference, and whether you have completed or skipped the introductory walkthrough. This local data stays on your device until it is replaced, you clear RateVault app data through device settings, or you uninstall the app. In the RateVault web app, these preferences are stored only in your browser's local storage on this device and are never sent to VaultApps or any server.
Typed conversion amounts
Amounts typed into the converter are used only to calculate visible conversions while you use the app. They are processed on your device, are not sent to VaultApps or the exchange-rate service, and are not saved to device storage by RateVault. They are cleared when you clear the fields, remove the app from memory, or restart the app.
Exchange rate updates
RateVault uses an internet connection to download exchange rates from open.er-api.com and verifies the response before saving it locally. RateVault does not send your typed amounts, selected currencies, theme preference, contact details, account identifiers, or precise location to the exchange-rate service. Like most internet services, the exchange-rate provider and network operators may receive standard technical information needed to deliver the response, such as your IP address, request time, and basic device or connection information.
External links and contact
Email support or feature suggestions open your email app and prepare a message to support@vaultapps.org. If you send the email, VaultApps receives your email address, message content, and any information you choose to include. Store ratings open the app store listing, and Ko-fi support opens Ko-fi in your browser or the Ko-fi app. These external services are not controlled by RateVault and handle information under their own privacy policies. RateVault does not process payments inside the app.
How data is used
RateVault uses data only to provide currency conversions, keep recent exchange rates available offline, remember your app preferences, and respond to support messages you choose to send. RateVault does not sell personal data and does not share personal data for advertising or tracking.
Data retention and deletion
On-device data remains on your device until it is replaced by updated data, you clear RateVault app data through device settings, or you uninstall the app. You can reset your currency cards and theme at any time with "Clear saved preferences" in Settings, and in the web app you can also remove them by clearing your browser's site data. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, maintain support records, or meet legal obligations. You can ask VaultApps to delete support correspondence by emailing support@vaultapps.org.
Permissions
On Android, RateVault requests internet access so it can download exchange rates and open external links. The app does not request sensitive permissions such as location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, SMS, or call log access.
Security
Exchange-rate updates are requested over HTTPS. Local data is stored using the device's normal app storage mechanisms. RateVault does not store passwords, payment card details, government identifiers, or account credentials.
Children's privacy
RateVault is a general-audience utility app and is not directed to children. RateVault does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
VaultApps may update this policy if RateVault's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
